A museum which covers the entire Volvo history

The purpose of Volvo Museum is to preserve the history of Volvo and make it known to the public. The museum is run by Volvo Car Group and Volvo Group (including Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Volvo Penta and Volvo Construction Equipment).

Ever since the opening in 1995, our collection has continued to grow. Apart from the products on display, we’ve also built up a comprehensive archive of historical documents and images, providing a unique view into the story of what became one of Sweden’s most successful companies.

The closest bus stop is called Arendals Skans. If you’re coming from the city centre, the easiest way to get here is to first go to Eketrägatan (tram 5, 6 or 10). Then change to bus 32 towards Volvo Torslanda (via Arendal).

* Get off at Arendals Skans and follow the signs. The museum is located about 100 metres from the bus stop (close to the water).

* N.B. On weekends, you need to call ahead and book bus 32 for it to depart. Call Västtrafik (the public transport company) at +46-31-788 07 89 at least one hour before the departure time. This applies also for the trip from the Museum. Our Reception will be happy to assist to book your return trip.
